Why Holding Space?

We believe that the concept of a “holding space,” often mentioned in relation to the Humanistic Approach to psychology is essential to the psychotherapeutic relationship. As therapists, we strive to provide an emotionally, physically, and spiritually, safe environment in which our clients can be authentic. We encourage you to express yourself freely, without fear of judgment or rejection; and, as holders of the space, we will accept you. 

We believe that a holding space is the foundation of a solid therapeutic bond and that, in turn, the alliance between therapist and client is absolutely critical in helping clients achieve their goals.
